- Width and height of the glass splashbacks
-Number & type of cut outs, holes i.e.: double socket cut outs and holes for plumbing
-Shapes, are the panels shaped i.e.: a curved top under a cooker hood

+ Do we survey, supply and install?
Yes we do and we find most customers choose this option, however if you would rather fit your own glass splashbacks we can supply all the setting blocks and adhesive that you will need and also supply you with free support over the phone if you come up against any problems during survey or installation.
+ What thickness are glass splashbacks?
They are normally 6mm thick but can be 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm or 19mm thick.
+ How long do I have to wait?
If you choose the survey, supply and install option we always aim to survey within one week of you placing your order and install within three weeks after the survey, for supply only we aim for a two week turnaround. Like everything we do, nothing is set in stone, if you’re in a rush let us know, if we can help by pushing it through the factory quickly for you we will.
+ Can we get actual samples of the coloured glass?
Yes we do supply actual samples of the coloured glass, we normally provide you with an estimate from the sizes you have supplied and then once you have chosen a colour we will cut, polish the edges and paint a 250mm x 250mm glass sample and courier it out to you. The sample is effectively free, we charge you £25 inc Vat for the sample but if you go ahead with the job in your chosen colour sample we refund the complete cost of the sample back to you on your final invoice.
+ Where can we look at the available colours?
We have a glass splashbacks colour chart on our website but we also match to B.S., Dulux, Crown, Farrow & Ball, NCR, Fired Earth or if that isn’t enough we will colour match to any swatch you have, please ask us for help if you are having trouble finding a colour.
+ Is the glass and installation guaranteed?
The paint is guaranteed against discolouration and delamination for a full 10 years and the installation for a full 12 months, you receive a full written guarantee after full payment of the invoice is made.
+ Can the glass be shaped?
Glass can be cut to almost any shape but is subject to certain limitations if it needs to go through the toughening process (please call when designing your project for relevant glass toughening / processing guidelines). If you have glass behind your hob and glass to the left and right of the hob and do not want joins (upside down T shape) the glass can be manufactured but is very labour intensive and would cost you more then joining 3 separate pieces of glass together, radius and curved glass can be produced i.e. under a cooker hood.
+ Can I have holes and cut outs in the glass?
Cut out and holes are not a problem i.e. electrical sockets (please call when designing your project for relevant glass toughening / processing guidelines).
+ Will the glass be heat resistant and safe?
Any splashbacks behind a hob should be toughened so they can resist heat up to 400 degrees C, also any glass splashbacks with cut outs in should be toughened to reduce the chance of breaking them when screwing up electric sockets etc.
+ Does my wall need to be perfectly flat?
The adhesive used to bond the glass to the wall will take imperfections of approximately 6mm, the wall does need to be sealed with either PVA or a coat of emulsion paint to stop the adhesive being absorbed into it.
+ What sizes can we produced?
We can produce glass with polished edges from 40mm x 40mm up to a size of 3210mm x 2550mm although we would normally suggest you split panels of this size, we can offer a jumbo sheet facility at extra cost of sizes up to 6000mm x 3210mm.
+ What is Ritec Clearshield?
Ritec Clearshield is a polymer coating we can apply to the face of the glass splashback to make it like Teflon! It is a non stick coating that also makes it at least 50% easier to clean and stops germs sitting on the service, it has a life span of 10 – 15 years if applied correctly, make sure your installer has a current installer qualification from Ritec.
+ Why do you mix your own paints in house?
We found that most of the so called glass paints available to glass companies we‘re actually paints adapted from other industries, from our own in house tests we found that the glass paint system we use gives us better opacity than any of the adapted for glass paints available.
+ Can we visit you?
Yes, we have a trade counter open 6 days a week so not only can you get us on the phone anytime but you are very welcome to come and see us face to face if you prefer.
